WATERMARK

Watermark was a series of actions that marked the sea-level rise line associated with climate change in Seattle. In the first action, participants dressed in black toting bags of sunflower seeds that they spread along the path to mark the new water line of Seattle’s downtown. In subsequent Watermarks, our team gave “Underwater Tours” in Pioneer Square in swimsuits and snorkeling gear, and marked the line in SODO with water — a melting block of ice strapped to a hand truck.
